All delegates, volunteers and coordinating staff are to wear black business attire to the China Open Days. We will provide the option of a black branded tie, bowtie or scarf to ensure a cohesive and professional aesthetic is achieved. You will also receive a magnetic name badge in your Delegate Kit that is to be worn during each event.
Delegates are required to arrive at the venue 30 minutes prior to the commencement of each event. The China Roadshow team will walk you through each of the spaces and show you to your display area.
Meet at 13:30 on Level 7 at the 7F Regency Ballroom
Meet at 14:30 at the 6F Zhongshan Ballroom
Meet at 15:30 in the Plaza
Meet at 13:30 on the 5th floor at Ballroom II
Each Open Day event will be spread across 2 rooms and both serve a different purpose.
The Recruitment Room will house all of the faculty and services displays. This room is designed for delegates to speak with prospective students and their families one-on-one, to answer any questions they may have and to share the offerings provided by the faculty or service.
Each display will be accompanied by a table, chairs and the relevant faculty guides that you may use as visual aids. The displays should have at least 1 representative present at all times. There will be a number of translators and Chinese speaking volunteers who will be on hand to assist you if required.
The Presentation Room is a smaller room where delegates will present to a smaller audience of prospective students and their families. The room will have a projector upon which your presentation will be played. There will also be a lectern and a number of cordless microphones.
If you do not have enough time to answer all questions, we ask that you encourage students to visit you and your colleagues at your display in the Recruitment Room.
Each faculty and service that is attending the China Roadshow will have their own faculty displays that have been designed, printed and assembled by the China Roadshow team. This will include 2 fabric stands per display, a high bar table and 2 bar chairs. We will provide water for all delegates, and gift bags for all attendees and an additional gift for all students who receive an application fee waiver.
The faculty, International and China guides will be printed and available at each event. These may be used as visual and content aids at each booth within the recruitment room. We will have 250 guides per faculty printed for each event.
The presentation schedules have been designed so that all faculties and services have the opportunity to showcase their offerings over the duration of the China Roadshow. Presenters have been allocated strict 15-20 minute time slots which may be used to deliver a presentation, masterclass, Q&A etc. A member of the China Roadshow team will indicate when you have 5 minutes remaining. Due to the time restrictions your presentation will be cut short if you run over the time allocated.
Each faculty has a presentation time slot in 2 cities - one in a Tier 1 city (Shanghai and Beijing) and one in a Tier 2 city (Nanjing and Qingdao).

All presenters should be ready in the presentation room at least 10 minutes prior to their scheduled presentation time.
We will have all presentations on a number of hard drives and USBs for each event. We suggest that all presenters carry a copy of their presentation on a USB as well. Please note that no changes will be made to the master presentations after the 22nd June.
Upon registration, attendees are given a unique ID number. If you are speaking with a prospective student and wish to follow up with them after the event, simply request their unique ID number, which they may find on their Registration Confirmation email. The China Roadshow team will provide you with a spreadsheet to log these IDs.
After all events are completed, hand your spreadsheet back to a member of the team who will then provide you with all of the student details upon returning to Sydney.
We have booked all in-country transportation and will be charged back to your faculty.
Our colleagues in China have organised a number of recruitment opportunities for delegates throughout the duration of the China Roadshow. We ask that you meet the scheduled times so that transferring to and from activities runs as smoothly as possible. Please ensure you notify a member of the team if you are running late or can no longer attend.
PowerPoint presentations will be returned – no further changes to be made
